Lessons at the ASP Music Studio are tailored to each student as an individual. There is no “one size fits all” approach to lessons here! Some topics covered in lessons will include: tone, technique, musical studies (etudes), solo pieces, chamber pieces, school ensemble music, music theory, and music history. Students are also encouraged to bring in additional music that they are interested in learning or performing in community ensembles. A strong emphasis is placed on learning music reading and notation for all students. Lessons are flexible at the ASP Music Studio, so students can spend as much time working on a topic or skill as needed – students won’t feel rushed in lessons, and can work and learn at a comfortable pace to master musical skills.
Students in the ASP Music Studio enjoy recital opportunities twice a year, comprehensive musical knowledge and understanding, a passion for their instrument, regular progress in school ensembles and music classes, placement in top honor bands, placement in music competitions, and most importantly, having FUN learning about music!
Lesson scheduling can modified to accommodate the specific needs of students and their families. Lessons typically occur once a week (at the same day and time) for a 30 or 60 minute period, adding up to four or five lessons a month.
Students who enroll in lessons at the ASP Music Studio will be sent a Studio Policy. Students and their families will sign the Policy and Information form to submit at the first lesson.
Lesson times are available based on the teacher’s schedule. Lesson tuition is based on 30 minute or 60 minute lesson times. Please use the contact form to request the most recent availability, or to coordinate a free 15 minute trial lesson time.
